Stakeholders invited to submit feedback to 2020 price monitoring submission
Updated 23 August 2019
The Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) is expected to periodically submit its bulk water prices to the Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) for review. GAWB’s bulk water prices were last reviewed by the QCA in 2015 for the 2015-20 period. Our next price investigation relates to prices from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2025.
The Queensland Government has directed the QCA to undertake a price monitoring investigation for the period 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2025.
In undertaking the investigation, the QCA is to consider a range of matters including:
- prices that provide GAWB with enough revenue to recover prudent and efficient costs;
- the accumulation of under-recovered revenues and its impact on customers.
GAWB is required to submit its pricing submission to the QCA on 30 September 2019.
The QCA is required to provide a draft report by 28 February 2020 and a final report by 29 May 2020.
You can register via the QCA’s website to receive ongoing information about the investigation.
