Nature worth protecting
Four Mile Scrub is a chance to connect with nature and experience a uniquely Central Queensland environment. It is home to endangered regional ecosystems and important native plants, meaning we all have a responsibility to help look after it.

The semi-evergreen vine thickets of the Brigalow Belt (North and South) and Nandewar Bioregions Threatened Ecological Community (SEVT TEC) can be found at Four Mile Scrub – making it a place worth protecting and experiencing.

Leave nothing but footprints on the trail! Please walk on the trail path only to protect the stunning natural environment. No animals or bicycles (or other forms of transport) are allowed on the trail and please take all litter with you.

As you explore, look out for the Bergera crenulata, kangaroos, kookaburras, black cockatoos and butterflies. In the warmer months, snakes may also be active, so admire them from a safe distance.

By respecting the trail and its surroundings, you are helping to protect this environment so it can be enjoyed for generations to come.
