National Water Week 2020: Reimagining our water future

Each year, in the third week of October, National Water Week makes a splash across Australia, inspiring individuals, education providers, communities and organisations to work together to build community awareness and understanding of water related issues.

Gladstone Area Water Board joins the Australian water sector in acknowledging and appreciating our access to clean water and commitment to educating ourselves and our communities on what we must do to use water wisely and protect our local waterways.

Gladstone’s water future is never far from our minds at GAWB and we’re working hard to secure our region’s water supply for generations to come.

National Water Week Poster Competition

To celebrate National Water Week (19- 25 October 2020) Gladstone Area Water board is calling on local Gladstone primary school students to enter our inaugural National Water Week poster competition.

It’s up to all of us to use water wisely and protect our local waterways. A changing climate, population growth and economic factors puts more stress on our water resources, so how can we reimagine the way we use and reuse water to ensure there is enough of it in the future? What can we do as individuals and as communities to inspire a more sustainable water future?
