Breaking new ground with new customer connections

We recently connected water supply to Alpha HPA’s new high-purity aluminium production site, which is now under construction in Yarwun, Gladstone.

Our teams delivered a temporary customer connection in rapid time for the high-purity aluminium producer Alpha HPA, to support the expansion of its HPA First Project.

The new supply of water was used for dust suppression works on its building site during construction.

The water connection was installed and completed in just under seven weeks – from notification of the customer’s requirements through to the delivery of raw water sourced from Awoonga Dam, 30 kilometres south of Gladstone.

As a bulk water provider, GAWB provides an essential service that promotes the economic development and enhances the lifestyle of regional Queensland.

Managing critical upgrades and maintenance works to existing pipeline infrastructure servicing our existing industrial and domestic customers – is all in a day’s work for our teams, who are led by experienced leaders like our Network General Manager Scott Wikman (pictured).
