Celebrating the academic achievements of Gladstone’s local youth

At Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB), we are committed to supporting the educational growth and development of the upcoming young leaders in our community.

That’s why we were thrilled to sponsor the 2024 academic awards at five of our local high schools: Calliope State High School, Chanel College, Gladstone State High School, Tannum Sands State High School and Toolooa State High School.

These awards celebrated the incredible academic achievements and passion of local students studying aquatic practices, marine science, environmental sustainability, and agricultural innovation.

These fields are more than just subjects of study; they represent the foundation for a sustainable and prosperous future for the Gladstone region and beyond.

As we watched the award ceremonies unfold, we were continuously amazed by the passion, talent, and commitment of the students.

Their innovative ideas, thirst for knowledge, and dedication to learning is inspiring.

The students who received these awards are not only excelling in their studies but are also actively shaping the future of our community.

From finding solutions to environmental challenges to exploring new technologies in agriculture and marine science, these students are paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.

Well done to all the students, teachers and support staff, who have done an outstanding job.
